Wow! Amazing! Something I feel I want to sit with for a while and mull over. I feel like I have journeyed with you through your writing and come out the other end changed. Bereft, empty, naked, new.
I know I have journeyed with this dark emotion and been afraid, until now!
Until now because you have given it context, and that context I know. It's what hides in the shadows that scares me more!
The tigeress that licks your face raw and such is really beautiful imagery of a process where life requires more of you than perhaps you might think you can give. Nevertheless you find the battle has left you scarred and exhausted beyond all you thought you were capable of however, you emerge a new version of yourself. You are forever changed and expanded, with new perceptions, greater strength and increased power. Facing your own shadow in the dark underworld is the access to your light.
