Are you a Protector?

Do you feel a deep calling to protect others on their life's journey, defending every individual's right to follow their own path, their own truth, to find their own unique gifts and bring them into the world? Are you willing to drop into an ancient wisdom of spiritual protection, where we realise that to be a Protector, whether it is for Vision Quest or any of a number of ceremonies of transformation, is to gently open the door for another, to guard it while they walk through, and to stand in the way of anything that would interfere with their journey? Are you ready to learn the physical and spiritual skills necessary to stand as a Protector? Are you ready to sacrifice - make sacred- your time, your energy, letting go your ego, your projections and beliefs, so that another may do their deep work, whatever it is? Are you prepared to lead them to the door, knowing that everything that happens on the other side is their business, between their own heart and the heart of whatever is greater than them?

Vision Quest Protectors share a common song. To be a guide, in service, to be available, to constantly learn and grow, to let go of what we think another's journey should look like, and trust the divine perfection of another's path. That path may move someone to music we cannot hear, but if we do our job right, they do, and that is enough. All we need to do is get out of the way and give them every opportunity and advantage to find their own Vision, and the tools to follow it.

The Vision Quest Protector training is a powerful 9 day programme. This course is focused on providing skills that enable someone to guide the powerful rite of passage known as Vision Quest, but it is so so much more than that. Basically this is intensive Awareness training, and in these 9 days there is a profound deepening into spiritual skills and a refining of participants' awareness that extends far beyond Vision Quest. It is for anyone who longs to walk a spiritual path with authenticity, integrity and real skill in the realms beyond the physical.

Some of the topics covered include methods of both physical and spiritual protection; how to detect areas with both light and dark influence; personal and area shielding; and the physical, emotional, spiritual dangers and difficulties of Vision Questing and the tools to transform these challenges into vision. You will learn techniques to help you shift into Spirit Mind while walking protection in the physical plane, which will enable you to see and access information beyond the 5 physical senses. We will also touch on the seven levels of Quest, and you'll be taught the second level, the Power Quest.

Additionally, you will learn all the logistics for organising, running, and protecting a Vision Quest for others. The exercises in this program will be intensely experiential. Once you have completed this course you will be eligible to run Vision Quest in this lineage. You'll also be connected with a network of other Protectors who walk this path.
While this course was originally designed to train Vision Quest Protectors, we’ve found that it opens an incredibly powerful and much more effective spiritual life for anyone on this path. It teaches the skills of protection, of awareness, and significantly deepens your own Quest experience.

If the word 'Protector' rings you like a silver bell, if you feel the subterranean tug and pull that presages something that is deeply true and on our path, this class may be for you. If you aren't called to facilitate Vision Quest, this course will deepen your existing spiritual practices and understanding of your own Vision Quest journey.

Once you have done a Vision Quest in Stalking Wolf's lineage you may apply. We are running a Vision Quest from Oct 10-17, 2020, for those who need to make up this prerequisite.

Due to the COVID situation, we will be limiting numbers for this programme, so if you feel the call, we advise you to register early.

WHAT TO BRING FOR QUEST PROTECTOR TRAINING

A tent, swag or whatever you need for camping accommodation.
Plate, bowl, cutlery and mug
Snacks
Sleeping gear (sleeping mat, sleeping bag,)
Clothes in earth tones. No bright colours (this will make sense during the programme)
Comfortable walking shoes
Day pack
Extra blanket
Head torch with spare batteries. (Test it before you come)
Any medication you need.
Sun protection (hat and sunscreen)
Weather protection (rain gear, spare socks)
Warm clothes.
Notebook and pen for journaling
Woodcarving knife
Personal item as giveaway, to hang on the staff. (You won't get this back.) (If you forget this you can always gather something from the environment like a leaf or a stone to hang on the staff.)
